Sweet Shop Proposal

An outline of my idea for a promotional video for Ye Olde English Sweet Shop.

Info

Ye Olde English Sweet shop based in Norwich City Center is an independently run sweet shop and has been selling a wide range of old & new sweets for over a year now and is well loved throughout the city of Norwich for its selection of sweets.

Visual

The video I want to create will be up to 3 minutes long and would concentrate on the basics of a standard day in the sweet shop. The video would start with a slow zooming shot of inside of the shop with the lights being switched on and the introduction of a fast paced song will start to fade in. once this shot end there will be small videos opened up indifferent areas of the screen, they will be short cut and only about 1-2 seconds long. There will be no more than 3 visuals on the screen at any given time.

Style

The video will have many short clips that are all cut quickly one after the other, this will result in a fast paced video that displays all aspects of the sweet shop. I hope to create a memorable video that connects with the audience and makes them want to visit the sweet shop. The video will be targeted at the local public to teach them of the huge variety of sweets the shop can offer. The video will be displayed on the Facebook page run by the shop, YouTube & trade fairs.

  1. Adam, you need to add more entries. You need a summary of your classroom pitch from last week.

Points that it raised... You need to firm up arrangements with the shop. Need to see it in writing too (emails are good).
You need to do a full location recce and risk assessment. Maybe a camera test with lights (out of public hours??) just to see problems that may arise. And document all your findings in your blog!
